This is exactly it. We label diseases separately, but the upstream biology is often the same. Aging itself being a major unifying driver.

Agreed! Aging, and years of not-so-great habits are co-conspirators. An astonishing percentage (~80%) of chronic diseases seen by a primary care physician in the U.S. are lifestyle-related. We have some work to do.
